Karen Weiss

About the Artist

Karen Weiss

I grew up in Dallas, Texas and I attended Booker T. Washington High School for the
Performing and Visual Arts. Although I was only there for one year, being at that school
was a life-giving experience. I received my undergraduate degree in Art History from Boston University.

I am a multi media artist working in painitng, photography, jewelry design, murals and multi media projects.
My fine art has been exhibited in both solo shows and group shows in Texas.

I provide henna, face painting, temporary tattoos to individuals, private parties, corporate events and festivals. I love
doing this work and I have met the most wonderful people because of these art forms.

In my recent work I am excited to find my various art media merging as I combine my canvasses, 3-D design,
photography and body art all into one piece.

I feel that art is as necessary as breathing, whether you make it or experience it. I am grateful to be making my
living and supporting my two amazing children as a full-time artist. I encourage everyone to pursue his or her dreams.
